Jennifer began her legal career in Canada, where she worked as a legal secretary while completing a Diploma in Business. While she had initially intended to obtain her law degree in Canada, she decided to take a year off to go backpacking in 2007. 

Her adventures lead her across the world to New Zealand where she fell in love with the place so much she ended up staying! After putting down roots, Jennifer finished studying and obtained her law degree from the University of Waikato in 2012. 

Prior to starting JMorgan Law, Jennifer worked for various different law firms specializing in property matters and accompanying work such as trusts, commercial, succession planning and relationship property.

During this time, she realised people often viewed dealing with legal matters and lawyers – whether planned or unexpected – as scary and expensive. She could also see how difficult it was for clients to find the time to discuss their legal matters during working hours.
